Assignments for Wednesday, Sept. 22

1. Salisha, Sylvia, Nicholas, and Neal will post summaries of our discussion and/or their topic.

2. Erik, Yan, and Jiarui will post links to articles about their topics.

3. Read this article from Time about the 2006 person of the year. Please print a copy of this article and bring it to class. Also, write one sentence that summarizes the argument of the Time article. Please bring the sentence to class.

4. On Wednesday, we will be going over thesis statements and arguments. I will also explain the first essay assignment. This will be one of the most important classes of the semester. Please make sure to be there!
